Automatic Driving Lessons in Codnor, Ripley & Alfreton
Learn to drive with confidence, at your own pace
Hi, I’m Dave, a DVSA Approved Driving Instructor providing automatic driving lessons across Codnor, Ripley, Alfreton, Swanwick and the surrounding areas.
Learning to drive is a big step, and everyone comes to it differently. You might be excited to get started, a little nervous about your first lesson, coming back to driving after a break, or wondering whether you’ll ever get the hang of it.
Whatever your starting point, we’ll take it from there together.
My lessons are calm, friendly and supportive. We’ll work at a pace that suits you, building your skills and confidence as you go.
If something isn’t clicking, that’s not a problem. We can slow things down, break it into smaller steps or simply find another way of explaining it. I don’t expect you to fit around the way I teach. Wherever possible, I’ll adapt the way I teach to suit how you learn.
I welcome nervous and neurodivergent learners, as well as pupils who may benefit from additional support or reasonable adjustments.
Most importantly, I want you to feel comfortable asking questions, making mistakes and being honest when something doesn’t make sense. That’s all part of learning.
A Safe and Supportive Place to Learn
There’s a lot of trust involved in learning to drive, and I don’t take that for granted.
I’m DBS checked and have completed the FAA Level 3 Award in Principles of Safeguarding and Protecting Children, Young People or Vulnerable Adults (RQF).
For me, though, it’s not just about qualifications. It’s about providing a professional, respectful and supportive environment where you can concentrate on learning without feeling judged.
Safe Driving for Life
Of course, passing your driving test is an important goal, but it isn’t the only reason we’re doing this.
Eventually, there’ll be a first journey where I’m no longer sitting next to you. You’ll need to read the road, make your own decisions and deal with whatever comes your way.
That’s the driver we’re working towards.
My aim is to help you become a safe, confident and independent driver, not simply someone who can pass a driving test.
That’s what Safe Driving for Life means to me.
