About me

I am an experienced driving instructor based in Codnor near Ripley in Derbyshire. I am fully DBS checked and am on the ADI register. I provide driving lessons in an automatic car. 

 

I understand that each and everyone of my pupils are different and have different learning needs. I always tailor driving lessons with this in mind, in partnership with my individual learners.

 

I believe in building skills rather than just teaching how to pass a driving test. This will enable my pupils to be good safe drivers with the ability to analyse and improve their own driving after they have passed their test. My pupils tell me that they prefer this way as they feel able to drive on all roads everywhere rather than just on the same repeated routes.

 

I provide all of my pupils with a personalised secure cloud based record system that they have access to. Which shows what they have learnt, what they need to learn as well as other driver training materials to help them on their journey. Specific learning material can and is added when required by the individual learner.

 

I always endeavour to be the best that I can be by regularly updating my knowledge and training. As such I voluntarily agree to follow the Driver and Vehicle Standards Agencies Driving Instructors Code of Good Practice and The Driving Instructors Associations Code of Conduct. I regularly continue my professional development in any way that I can.

I have a good knowledge of local road systems and particularly challenging areas so I can help support my pupils to manage these independently.
