COVID-19 Update 02 May 2020

Updated: May 7, 2020

I have had a few queries lately asking me when I will begin to provide driving lessons again. The simple answer to this is: I do not know.

Whilst lockdown measures remain in place I will not be providing driving lessons. I am and will continue to follow all guidance from the government and from the World Health Organisation. I will do what is best to protect my customer and their families. Your health and safety is important to me.

I wanted to also reassure that whenever I can begin teaching again that I will continue with my current infection control routines. I will also implement any new measures that may be necessary to help keep us all safe. Whatever these measures are will be guided by the best advice at the time.

Those of you that know me will know that before becoming a driving instructor I had a care background. As part of this role I was for a time an Infection, Prevention and Control Lead for a mid-size local authority. I represented the authority in meetings with the local CCG. I was also part of a multi-disciplinary team that helped write a large encompassing Infection Control Policy for the local authority, in consultation with health colleagues. I will use my previous knowledge and expertise to help do my best to keep everyone safe when things become more “normal” and I am able to begin teaching again.

I sincerely hope that all of my customers are staying safe during the current pandemic. Please do not be afraid to contact me if you want any help or support with your driving theory practice. Although you are not seeing me in person I am still here.

Lastly, thank you again to all of the key workers out there that are doing their bit to keep the rest of us safe.

You are appreciated!

Like most driving instructors I want us all to be safe
